Hello friends,
Here are some vignettes from my crafting space. I'm working on a blogpost of the whole craft space, but I thought it would be nice to show you some glimpses now.
I love to set up special displays of things I've collected or made. Below is a dressmaker's dummy pincushion which I painted and adorned. The top and base are antique white, the body is beige. I used a couple of doilies, some jewellery and hatpins to decorate it. Beside it is a jar of neutral coloured yarns with some buttons and vintage photos.
A close up peek of the pincushion...
Inside my wooden pigeon holes I keep some favourite books and lace, along with other small treasures...
My Dad gave me some money for a significant birthday, so I bought this metal tiered basket for laces and pretties so that I would have a special keepsake from him that I love to last for years ahead.
I am linking up to Simply Neutrals # 22 over at Wen's beautiful blog AppleApricot
so full of treasure for my eyes! P.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pippa :) It's just a few glimpses - I am working on a full craftroom post and I don't want to spoil my own thunder. I have been so busy and then I am spending my spare time on blogposts, and I'm not getting much craft done, though! It's ironic :) (My garden is looking like a park, though. Can't do it all, can we?
DeleteDeeeelightful!! I love lace too. What pretty vignettes to admire.
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to stop by again Judy:) Thanks Pippa :) I adore lace.

Such beautiful vignettes Jesse! You definitely have the touch for them. Wish I had more space, as in counter or shelf, to do similar things here in my studio, though there's nothing stopping me from creating lovely spots upstairs in the house! ;)
ReplyDeleteHello Pam. Thanks for visiting my blog. It's funny, the more space I have , the more cluttered I still make it all! I have to move things when I want to get creating. It's probably why I'm not getting much done! But I do love creating vugnettes and i have them all through the house - a shells vignette, a nests and bird themed vignette, baby clothes and items, etc. Hope your creative energy is happening.
DeleteHugs,
Jesse
p.s. obviously my head's not screwed on today! I wanted to thank you for your very sweet comment on my Neutrals Tuesday mushroom and for visiting my blog! ♥
ReplyDelete:) Thanks Pam, I enjoyed your post too.

I envy your lovely workspace. I barely have enough space to work let alone decorate. I imagine that it must be a very inspring place to do your work. So many pretty images, thanks for sharing!

Hi Linda, I used to have small spaces in nooks and crannies, with things tucked under beds and in cupboards. When we built our own house I carefully designed this room to fit my furniture and stuff - now I wish I could have an even bigger studio! There are so many to drool over on Pinterest and blogs.
DeleteAnyway, I still have to move things out of the way before I start a project! I think you grow into your space -the trick is to keep changing it to suit new hobbies or ways of working :)
This blogpost is just a few glimpses - I am working on a full craftroom post which I'll put up soon.
Have a peaceful and creative week.

Dear Jesse, oh you have a most beautiful workspot, filled with lovelies and romance. The baskets from the money gift of your father, is a wonderful piece, and your collections are to dream of. You are so lucky to have this room of your own, and just as you wish it to be.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy rest of the week, Jesse.
Hugs, Dorthe
Hello Dorthe, You are so right! I am lucky - I do use it as an office too, so that's how I can justify it :) I do all the book keeping for our business, and line the flute cases as well as helping do the silver keys (which I do downstairs in our workshop).
DeleteI am working on a full craftroom post. I have been so busy with work and kids, gardening and music, and then I spend my spare time on blogposts and looking at everyone's posts, so I'm not getting much craft done, though! My garden is looking like a park, though. Can't do it all, can we?
Wishing you a creative week.

Oh my goodness Jesse I'm so glad you shared with us! (and @ SNT's @ Wens: )
ReplyDeleteYour space looks so beautiful and the vintage feel makes me want to jump in and get creating!! The gorgeous pin cushion mannequin alone is a work of art. Your whole space is really~
Thanks for the beautiful look-see. Karen O
Hi Karen,
DeleteI am working on a full craft room post and thought I'd just share a few glimpses now. It's a pity that for all this gorgeous space my output of creative items is not much at the moment! Too much gardening, kids activities, work and music! Oh well, I enjoy the blogging process, and taking photos for it - it's a creative activity too :) Thanks for your kind visit.
Hugs,
Jesse XXX
